Cassidy and Banzai

Taking a little break from M8 to sketch some things.

Two new characters I might be introducing sometime after M8 ends. This is just a rough concept so far.

Cassidy is a young Buizel lad from Gambitville who hopes to become a ranger like his prestegious father. In an attempt to mimic his father's use of projectile artifacts, he's developed a special technique of his own and is skilled in using marine life Pokemon as weapons, and can make use of just about any smaller fish Pokemon he can get his hands on. At range, he's a confident and skillful duellist, but when it comes to close combat, he becomes cowardly and desparate. Being a Gambitville boy through and through, he has a rough personality and strong ideals. He's looking to get himself recognised to prove to his father that he's strong enough to train as a ranger despite his tender years. Despite coming from Gambitville, his primary place of residence is either Tao Village or Almomola Bay, as he has older siblings in each area he likes to keep in touch with. He also resents his 'girly' name and often gives himself temporary titles which often come across as pretentious.

Banzai comes from the waters around Jipang, and somehow managed to drift her way over to Almomola bay where she was mistaken for a nonsentient due to her poor grasp of the Taolish language. She was about to be turned into Sushi before Cassidy came to her rescue and the two have been partners ever since. A little strange and mechanical in her manner, Ban-chan becomes a powerful, intelligent firearm in Cassidy's paws, able to fire a range of beam attacks or shoot water with sniper precision. She chips in with her own observations and encouragement while in battle, often calling out her attacks and confirming hits on targets. Without Cassidy to carry her around, she's fairly helpless on land, and prefers a ready body of water. She has a tendency to get over excited and go into little fish-seizures, 'jamming' and becoming useless for short periods of time if over-used. She has no intention of returning to Jipang any time soon, and is very curious about the strange new land above water.

These two may form a Rescuer team if I can find time.
