Description

A reference sheet for Cassidy's older brother, Kelly.

Kelly grew up with his father and mother in Gambitville. Upon moving to Tao, he discovered a nearby religious order known as the Path of Rain, a small group of Kyogre worshippers. On his own accord he became a devotee, finding peace in the teachings and enjoying the tranquility that was so hard to find in Gambitville. Withdrawn and quietly spoken, Kelly resembles his mother the most out of the three siblings and has a melodic, sweet voice which he puts to great use singing in the church choir.

Like many of the other worshippers in the group, he had his body fur cropped short and a tattoo of Kyogre's sign painted onto his shoulderblades. This is to allow the rain to more easily reach his skin as a symbol of acceptance towards Kyogre's blessing. That said, he's rarely seen without the typical raincoat worn by younger acolytes.

Kelly doesn't wish to burden other members of his family with his belifs, as it already causes conflict between him and his father, but he regularly invites them to visit him and take part in ceremonies. Cassidy frequents the church to see his brother, who in turn encourages him to practice his own singing, a gift he's somewhat shy about. Kelly has an uncomfortable relationship with Jesse, who doesn't approve of the church, often telling Kelly to stop obsessing over 'fairy tales'. This causes Kelly a lot of pain, but he does a good job of hiding his feelings.

It's rare to actually see him smile, though he states clearly that he's happy with his life. When he does, Cassidy is especially reminded of his mother.

Wow, comparing and contrasting, the change isn't that jarring but it is certainly a change!
