Stargazer wasn't supposed to appear here just yet, because he's not scheduled to appear in my personal story along with Russel for some time, but he's a young astronomer who disguises himself as a Zoroark using illusions in order to improve his integrity. This facade can't cover for actual inexperience though, and so many Pokemon know him as an odd, eccentric Zoroark who draws strange diagrams that nobody really understands.

Stargazer himself believes there's some kind of connection between Dark type pokemon and the night sky, and is studying the effect stars and patterns have on his own kind. Considering that Russel has the ability to shift between being a dark type and a ground type, he's the perfect assistant for many of Stargazer's experiments.

However, maintaining the illusion of a Zoroark is hard work, and Stargazer often finds himself dropping his alias at embarassing moments. Luckily for him, Russel believes that Stargazer is a Ditto disguised as a Zorua, and so the two remain close friends, with Russel pretending to be a Zorua and Stargazer pretending to be a Ditto.
